The Tidebreaker could only hope that the other leaders were gone by now, having retrieved what they had come for. But that still left the Family, their Friends, and the demigods and Kaisel locked in combat, struggling to disengage.
And Pierce's intense focus on the Flood.
He had paused to examine the situation for too long, and things were moving quickly while he took his time thinking through the consequences of further violence.
In the end, it was not worth it. The Bastion summoned and Hadama made his choice, pulling on his connection to the moon to warp space and step through 31 feet behind Remi, calling out to the hopefully-transported Flood. "Ronin, Noah, Sunjata, it is time to go." He extended a hand to the Archon.
He did not dare glance at Noah, but he pitched his voice to include his friend in the call.
Then he dug deep and gathered his magic a second time to drop a line of Gravity Spikes into the dry sand 60 feet away (half way between Pierce/Vox and Remi/Sunjata), intending to use the impacts to send up a cloud of sand and dust to obscure line of sight between the Family and the demigods.
