It was true that Hadama worked late hours and rose early about his tasks, but he still required some sleep each night. And when he did, he saw little need for clothing in the privacy of his own chambers.
The effect was rather different than Ronin's, however, when the Tidebreaker was pulled to Hak Etme in his half-shifted Mer form. Cold sand pressed into his wet scales and skin and he pushed himself abruptly up on his arms as wakefulness threatened to overtake him. He caught sight of the White Knight disappearing as he blinked sleep-mazed eyes, the familiar voice calling his name and anchoring him - briefly - in the moment. Then the shadow in the night above and to the side of him, blotting out the stars, drew his attention. Chained in starlight but still dripping violet venom, the shark that was built for sand rather than sea twisted helplessly in Safrin's bonds.
Wakefulness, it turned out, was not needed in this nightmare that felt both surreal and far too immediate. A tail lashed the sand as Hadama glared up at the beast and gathered his power in a rush of will and intention. A rain of Gravity Spikes fell upon the Leviathan, slamming downwards in swift succession: eight in total.
"Begone," he rumbled to the beast, his deep voice rough with gravel as the single word left his lips.
The 'thot' was silent as he vanished back to his bedchamber in the Underwater City once more.
A half-asleep Hadama appears, drops a double dose of Gravity Spikes+Singularities on the Leviathan, and goes back to bed.
