first leg

Remi watches Ronin pace with an expression that’s one part indulgent, two parts amused. His arms are folded loosely across his chest, curls a little damp still from their walk, the sunlight sliding lazily across his shoulders through the dappled canopy above. "Mmm, no shifting, no magic, no cheating," he echoes, mouth twitching into a smirk. "And...the penalty for cheating? Or, being caught treating, rather??" At this, the Bastion glances up towards Sugar, tilting his head and winking conspiratorially in her direction.

Still, he pushes off from the tree he’s leaning on, sauntering forward with the easy, grounded grace of someone who knows the Wildwood by the sound of its breathing. Remi's eyes flick to the coin but not before drifting over Ronin first—slowly, with no attempt at subtlety. "Suckers of course," he hums, low and warm. "Let’s see which of us is going to be chasing the other through the woods like a lovesick teenager."

Remi offers his hand to catch the coin toss, grin wide and golden. "And for the record," he adds, voice dropping a touch as he steps a little closer, "if you catch me, I’m not going quietly."
