There was a proud smile on his face, a new sense of determination and peace that hadn't been present for months. It wasn't like his death had been erased, but some of his confidence had returned, a belief that he could make a difference without losing his life or those around him. And despite their status as refugees, he felt a renewed sense of purpose coursing through him, one that he hoped to share with Lena as they searched the Greatwood for the thousandth time.
Glancing around at the unfamiliar twisting of branches, Zavien let out a low chuckle. "I think we're lost..."
