RONIN
the white knight
Having been happily collecting a few olive shells when Hadama calls that their time is up, Ronin straightens, adjusts his sunglasses and makes for the shore. He hands in his basket for the counting alongside all the others and drops back to lurk, of course, by the tables of food, and when Hadama comes to announce their winner - or winners as it happens - the Knight has already poured himself another strong cup of coffee and is busy scarfing a pastry (and grabbing a couple for the road so he can bring breakfast back to his husband).
Light applause rings across the crowd for Nova and Sohalia, and Ronin dutifully joins in by putting his pastry in his mouth to free up his hands. "Congrats!" he adds to the general cheer when he's able to speak again, before sinking back to sit in an empty deckchair. The Knight will remain for a few minutes more (read: until he has finished his coffee) before he wombles back down the shoreline for home, good deed done and shells collected.
