An enraged hiss was followed by a sudden strike towards Maea as daggers and flame lashed the scaled hide. She managed to deflect the strike with an arm thanks to her armor, but knew such luck wouldn't last long. The thing was huge, thicker than her entire waist, and already it curled back up for a second strike. The illusions didn't seem to confuse it much, though she couldn't figure out why.
