Alys did as she was told, holding her illusions steady as Maea took the lead. Her duplicates copied the Ancient's movements, even down to throwing discs at the Shadow Serpent. But it didn't seem to be working the way it should, and the seer wasn't sure why. "My illusions aren't working!" she called to Maea, scurrying to stay behind the Ancient as the woman deflected a strike. "Let me try air!" It wasn't advanced magic - she hadn't strengthened it properly, as it was a newer element to master - but it was something she knew to be effective against the Void.
