lately i've been leaning on what she swears is a feeling
She’s a sponge - a gilded, attentive sponge that soaks up everything Flora tells her - memorizing it because at the very least she could share her thoughts with her brother and he’d get the gist of it even if she couldn’t explain it absolutely perfectly. Names are committed to memory, of members that wouldn’t need to be barred - aside from Thalassa, of course - and she sinks down into the seat with ease and another sip from her drink, relishing in the refreshment off it, the way the sunlight filters in and casts a golden haze around the fizziness of it as if imbued with liquid gold.
“We’re lovin’ it.” She answers immediately, zero hesitation in confirming that the Marin triplets were very pleased with having the bar as a source of focus. And between the three of them they handled it pretty well, she thinks. “We’ve done a bit’ve redecoratin’, so I hope y’don’t mind.” She murmurs, flashing an almost apologetic smile toward her. “We kept the important bits you added, obviously, but gave ‘er a bit of a facelift with some new lighting and fabric.” And that brilliant stained glass window she can’t wait to get installed. “We’ve stayed busy at least! But.. the people do miss you, too.” She tacks on, letting her amber gaze focus on the Queen of Torchline with an almost sobering, somber effect - as if she can understand how hard it might be to hear such a thing when you couldn’t physically return.
