There was whirling, twirling, and nonconsensual hugging as Tal tried to draw Pierce's attention away from Sunjata but instead got caught up in the tangle of static that was Vox. When the sand settled the courier sat on the beach, dazed and blinking through new, violet-tinged eyes, confused as hail and for some reason still holding his Dagger...?
Bemused, he sheathed it and picked himself up, absently patting sand from his shorts as he looked around at the detritus of the party. Alys was nowhere in sight, and neither were most of the rest of the guests, but the most important ones were still there so he ambled over to where the Family and their Friends remained. He ducked his head at Pierce with a sheepish grin, reaching up to rub the back of his head ruefully. "Sorry 'bout that. Musta gotten carried away," he apologized, before glancing to Vox gratefully. "Thanks for wakin' me up afore I hurt someone, Vox."
He flopped onto one of the pool floaties shaped like a unicorn with too many legs and too many eyes, listening to Thalassa with a tiny frown beetling his dark brows. "Wait, why couldn't y'shift?" he asked, oblivious in his adorably Accepted way.
