lately i've been leaning on what she swears is a feeling
“Oh, that I doubt.” Caly charms easily, her snicker soft but gentle as they compliment one another. At the end of the day, though, Flora had been right. The Hanged Man had an energy, and if you couldn’t match it, you might as well walk out then and there. And for her and her siblings? She’s pretty confident that they’ve managed it. For now, at least.
Approval to make it theirs, though, was one that she wasn’t really clinging to but she definitely appreciates it all the same. They’d made their changes, they’d keep Flora’s portions in there because one, they were useful, and two? She was as much a portion of the Hanged Man as the Marins were becoming, and everyone that had owned it up and to this point.
For the plants, though, Caly snorts and nods, pausing to sip from the cocktail again as she mulls it over. “I think I’ll let my brother handle that one. He knows Mateo better than I do.” Intimately so, as far as the young attuned could tell. Which meant that the handsome sibling to the Doubletake was absolutely off limits for her.
But the mood grows somber with the young attuned’s admission, softer like the haze of a shadow over a knife with the follow up - something that she can absolutely get behind. “And when it does, I hope you’ll come ’n see us.” She hums, flashing a bright smile, finding some kinship with the Queen of Torchline and the club of Girls That Get Shit Done. The toast is easy to make, and she downs the rest of her cocktail before setting it to the side to be collected later.
“Thanks for the drink. Let us know if y’need anything else, too. I should head back before Nova sets off a glitter bomb behind the bar.” She rises in a graceful, sweeping motion, her smile vibrant as she nods her head, relaxing back into her easy posture as she takes her leave, fulfilled and content with the result of the evening and the conversation, ensuring its all still fresh for Vesper to pick up on.
