COLT
He looks like a cool drink of water
But he's candy-coated misery
He's the devil in disguise
A snake with blue eyes

Not quite certain what troubles this man could have gotten into with shiny rocks to earn such a final rejection of them, least of all given that by her best estimates he looks like he has a lot of lifetime left, she has a notion it's not wise to ask. Though a smile cracks into place, one that absolutely grows when he references poor Chocolate as a cow. Though perhaps that at least means he's shiny enough to exchange for a wish. "Not a bad idea to try, might do so if he doesn't settle," she smacks the horse's neck affectionately, though the sound and the feel makes the baby startle a bit under her, earning an amused sigh. "Hear that? Gonna stuff you down a well if you don't behave," she mutters to the kid as she ruffles his mane.
Her attention slides back to the stranger, catching the flash of his ink along his side, the stars of it earning a thoughtful hum. "You're the one with the bouncy ball, ain'tcha?" Her head tilts a bit as she seems to regard him more fully. Once he spoke, it jogged more of her memory—he'd been there that day, next to Vesper. "Heard you won. I guess I should congratulate you." Although getting too close to the family and walking away seems to make them all winners that day.
She's still caught on something about him though, especially the way his eyes grab hold of her. Her favorite kind, and seemingly the brightest thing about the man, but it feels like its more than that, like it's more familiar and a glance earned across a group.
