Glad not to have to give details, though, he instead turns his attention to the co-- er, Chocolate, raising a brow as he steps out from under the wellhouse shade and into the dazzling sunlight, leaving a haze of smoke in his wake.
"Seems flighty," he remarks of the animal, and it's a good thing he can't read its mind, because it's uncertain who would be noping the fuck out of here first if he could. "Maybe it'll turn into somethin' else if you stuff it down the well." Automatically his eyes flick up towards the sky as if to watch for his ship, but there's no sign of her just yet, and so he adjusts his sunglasses and returns his gaze to the rider.
Only to be branded as the one with the bouncy ball, a remark that has the captain groaning and taking the cigarette from between his lips, flicking ash to the ground. "Call me Jack," he rumbles. "An' unfortunately I did, though I ain't sure you can call it winnin', really."
At the silence that settles between them, weighty and not entirely unfamiliar, he can't help but lift both eyebrows up at her. "See somethin' you like?" He smirks.
