Danta has discovered something new. Namely, when he's shifted into the sleek midnight scales of a black fucking dragon, it's a lot quicker to get from place to place. Having taken high into the sky on wings like great shadows stretched out towards the clouds, he doesn't even realise he's heading south, let alone when the first tumps and barrows of King's End come into view.
With pale eyes scanning the area below, it's of little effort to let himself catch a thermal and descend, casting a vast, black shape on the long grasses below.
And he might have been content to merely pass over and turn around were it not for the shrieking, keening call of something that sounds distinctly like it ought to have died five times already. At that, Danta snorts out a billowing breath of smoke and turns his attention towards wherever the spectral, void-warped creature might be.
He doesn't quite catch sight of it, though in all honesty, it's because he spots Deimos first. Offering a roar of greeting that's likely more unnerving than it is cheerful, the Sword will find himself subject to a sudden divebomb from a dragon. If Danta times it right, he ought to be able to flare his wings and shift back before he touches the ground. If he doesn't, he's either going to eat fucking dirt, or Deimos is going to zap him with some hardcore magic.
