Nestling in as Danta presses the smooch to his cheek, there’s a low laugh that slips from him with the air of exhaustion in the sigh that comes after. His head tilts up a touch as the mumble presses into his bearded jaw, the butcher’s hand sweeping up to brush his blonde hair over his shoulder, willing his shadows to vanish if only to let the bit of light peek in to let Danta become golden and prismatic.
“Happy to hear I did a wonderful job.” He teases, exhaling his rumble of a laugh as he does begin to move them into a proper sleeping position. He’s half on his side and half on his back, ensuring Danta can rest against the gnarled knots of his scars, while he works to tug their sheets and furs up around them in a warm cocoon that would be far too hot for anyone who wasn’t Ancient. But for them it’s absolutely perfect. “Sleep well, my love.”
