Frey appears.No, really. It's Frey. Look close.
There's a crown of sorry looking leaves sitting among the dark rags on its head, there are rosy cheeks chalked onto its porcelain mask (which Frey 100% wears, don't you know), and there's even a sign.
A sign hanging around its neck that says DeFIniTeLY FReY
"Hello, nature loving person!" Frey announces, extending a raggedy tendril to pat Alice atop the head. "Oh I do love fortune telling. Let us see what the cards have in store for you." It plucks up the offering, examining it this way and that before letting out a g a s p.
"This side is naked," they announce, placing it back down like something explosive.
"Anyway. A quest, yes? Yes."
Alys has been given a quest.
A quest by Frey.
She must:
1. Complete a thread riding in a chariot. (In the absence of actual chariots, a cart and a donkey make a fine substitute).
2. Complete a thread trying to catch blink hares, paying particular attention to their blinkiness.
3. Complete a thread playing cards with someone. The game isn't important, what matters is that they lose you all have fun!
4. Complete a thread witnessing someone using teleportation magic.
