And honestly, the explanation does help, but it doesn’t quite rid her of the inferiority she feels. Even when Flora mentions that she isn’t over Jack, one of the other problems that Kai had, instigating a fight with her father and Flora’s ex. She feels like she deflates, both elbows braced on the bar top now where she leans against it, her chin propped up on her fists. “I like him too.” She admits, something gentler and fragile in the words that she doesn’t ever let out.

“I feel like I can’t compare. I’m never gonna be you. I’m always gonna be Jack’s kid. An’ if it’s between me or you, I feel like he’s always gonna pick you.
