The sting in his palms fades, knees no longer scraped raw, and it’s only then—hazy and golden in the aftermath—that he realizes what Ronin’s done. With a low, affectionate chuckle, he murmurs, "You're far too good to me," the words spoken into the edge of Ronin’s jaw where his curls tumble wild against the Knight's skin.

The kiss to his lips is chaste, but Remi treats it like something sacred. He tilts into it, humming softly as if savouring the echo of everything that came before—every ache, every pleasure, every brutal, brilliant moment of being his husband’s. "Mmm, violent creatures, yes. We should let Deimos and Hadama know, though," he adds with a crooked grin, his tone faux-solemn. "I’d hate for them to stumble in here with soldiers in tow only to find us...otherwise occupied against the cavern wall."

When Ronin nudges him gently, Remi slouches with theatrical reluctance, head tipping back onto the Knight’s shoulder before finally peeling himself away with a sigh like he's surrendering a great treasure. As he straightens and stretches, he tosses a glance toward the blanket with a smirk. "What, that wasn’t what we came for?" he teases, voice warm and worn. "Could’ve fooled me."
