Being able to run from trouble, and the skill to stand her ground when necessary had both served to keep her alive, something she very much wanted for Noe.

Maea found that she enjoyed her company, the easy flow of their conversation; as someone who had always struggled to make close friends, the opportunity to form new connections was much cherished.
Content to chat away as they stretched and cooled off, she cast a final look about the Nest before they called it a day. Perhaps some other time she could come back with Liam; let him show her around properly, and tell her about the life he used to live. It was something to look forward to.
