I'm not giving up, kicking off the rust
The noise of fabric cleaving under the weight of the scissors sounds eerily like his tact fraying instead. His selected material falls away from the rest easier than expected, leaving him just the proper length to do something with in his hands, and now only the hard part is left.

"Right!" Kaisel agrees, perhaps a touch too loudly, a tad too excited, as he grabs for this tether of thinking that Koa is on. "We can't blame her if she needs a different place, and time, to figure her shit out. It'd be CRAZY to be mad at her for that." He has since picked up some needle and thread, placing seams with the rapid-fire plan of someone who has absolutely no clue what they're doing, but means to lay waste to the idea of achievement all the same. A cloak? So last season. Try an extra long sleeve that he can barely get his head through.

His gaze is pulled up at Koa's request, the normal smile since lost to worry and concentration, but it sputters back to life a bit now. "It has some moth vibes," he confirms, "just needs legs." Maybe ones that could pass as fringe, but arranged just so. Koa could tease his hair up with some gel in a specific set of fuzzy feelers too.

That thought drifts from Kaisel with a sudden, hollow ache that threatens to become regret. If he's in King's End, will he miss moments like this, where hours whittled away in his cousin's company will become few and far between? Will their time will be forced into careful consideration with the distance of travel and responsibilities branching in opposite paths rather than the two of them coming together for every menial and mild task out of convenience? He had traveled here already, for this, but the gradual departure of each Stormbreak member to reassemble in the city had made it easy. Eventually they'd be utterly separate, and the flow of their different lives would be more set than this brackish mix.

"I'm staying in King's End!" he blurts out, needing to force the truth of it out before the threat of holding it in changes it to a lie, and he too easily would find himself back among this city where he belongs.

I keep acting tough but maybe I'm not good enough
