Stormbreak didn't feel the same without the Family's influence, and Liam walked through the city with unease crawling up his spine. It was cold for Leafchange. Lightning flickered periodically, a storm threatening to move in, and the wind whipped through the streets to catch on his clothes. He'd come prepared, and moved along the cobblestones with minimal discomfort thanks to the warm coat and hat he'd been sure to bring with him. One could never be too prepared at this time of year.
He'd spent the better part of the season thus far in the Greatwood or in the Climb, and it was high time he paid a visit to Stormbreak. Besides, the city-region was likely to have better options for shopping than either of the other places he'd been spending his time, and it was shopping that he needed to get done today. Though still unsure of precisely how he was going to go about it, he needed to make a costume. A Ludo costume, which felt absurd, but here he was anyway, searching for some fabric.
He walked into Pacifist Plaza and into another gust of wind. Pulling up the collar of his coat, he stayed to the edges of the square and made his way over to a couple of shops that looked promising. The sooner he found what he was looking for, the sooner he could leave the memories of the Family - and the sadness that their absence brought - behind.
