Instead, with another dramatic grumble as the stairs are inevitably brought up, Ronin sneaks his free arm around his husband to squeeze him close, as if that might prevent him from spilling further secrets. "Wasn't that the time I got concussed and you proposed to me?" he wants to know. "Because if that's not the definition of loving me at my worst, I don't know what is."
