I'm not lost,
She sees the tell-tale humor, not letting his words dampen her bubbly mood. Blinking innocently up at him, she backs closer to the fire that sillhouettes her figure. "Where would be the fun in that?" Then she sticks her tongue out at him, giggling as she spins to make her lap around the unwavering energy source, sending another shower of fractured lights around the clearing as she moves. "Well, I think mom did a great job."
Then her nose is scrunching, displeased with the idea that she wouldn't get a chance to release the humming magic under her skin - or light something on fire. If she didn't plan on doing it anyways, she might have pouted or stomped her foot until he relented, but they both know Vesper won't stop her, so she just shakes her head. "That's boring." Just to prove it, she thinks of the most bland and mindless rendition of a staring contest, dust collecting on their blank expressions.
But the moment he gives permission (like she needs it), Nova is bouncing to attention, her hands splaying at her sides. "Okay! Here I go!" She doesn't need any more preparation, having full faith that he'll be able to handle whatever she throws at him. So she pulls the fire from behind her and launches it straight for his chest - no mercy.
