To say that the butcher’s not suspicious when Danta tells him he has to trust him, is simply just a blatant lie. He squints over at him as the strip of smooth silk is lifted, placed up and over his eyes, tied behind to blot out his vision. His eyes close out of mere habit, but the silk is just thick enough to prevent any light from slipping in, leaving him completely at Danta’s whim. “Mm, if you say so, darling.” The butcher hums a bit curiously.
Obviously he’s thinking in the gutter. This season, plus Danta’s usual preference for it has harbored a certain expectation that immediately gets sent spiraling the moment that that Danta clicks open the door - having completely missed the hand wave in front of him (proof it’s working).
The scent greets him first, the over abundance of sugar and sweets, the floral fruitiness of jams, the hint of chocolate if he thinks about it more intensely. At his lover’s words, however, Asta’s smile tugs up a bit brighter. “Have you?” He asks a touch bewildered as he steps in, remaining still lest he run into a table and knock over all of Danta’s hard work. “You are simply full of surprises this season, mm?” He muses happily, tail wagging a touch behind him as he waits for the first item.
“Am I to guess what you have made or simply tell you if I think it tastes divine?”
