Grinning right back at the shadow that creeps up the wall over Asta's shoulder - even if it can't really see him or let the butcher in on the mystery desserts - Danta refocuses on the first cake, setting the plate aside only once the other man has fallen quiet to consider. "Lemon," he agrees with a nod Asta won't see. "With cream cheese frosting. But there might have been a little vanilla in it - I don't remember."
There's another series of clinking dishes, and this time the butcher will be able to smell chocolate before the bite gets anywhere near his lips. "I don't think you'll need to try hard to guess this one, but there is something extra in there," he remarks, carefully guiding the fork to his lips. It's sweet and decadent and everything one might expect from a piece of chocolate cake, but there's a spike of something earthy and sharp there too, like roasted coffee beans.
