He flashes Deimos a smile as he’s greeted, flashing a bright smile of greeting of his own to Theea at her introduction. “Nice t’meet you. I’m Thorn.” Flashing Theea a gentler smile, he turns his wide grin to Damien as he’s greeted, feeling the warmth a mile away. “Wouldn’t miss it.” He extends out before the tasks are getting designated. He remains silent, waiting for the instruction on his end, sure that Damien has everything planned out to a T (he usually did, and Thorn wasn’t going to get in the way of it.)
They each begin to filter out, all but his task listed out, which leaves him keeping his arms bundled as he looks over at Damien, standing beside him with an easy smile that’s half tucked into the scarf still covering his neck. “Oh yeah. Feels sturdy. An’ not like the permafrost everywhere else’s got.” He muses, giving it so much as a kick of his boot in the earth below him as if to test the point.
Gazing back out at the greenery, though, it feels far more like home to him than the snow encapsulated cabin he’d grown up in. As for the plans themselves, his seafoam gaze studies his friend’s face before his smile takes over his face as he nods. “Well, let’s see.. Lemme grab my book.” Slinging the bag he’d brought toward his front, he rummages in it for a moment to snag a hardbound notebook and a pencil, flipping to a new page halfway through (old designs long left behind and forgotten about once put on paper), and he begins to sketch out the perimeter of the cabin itself.
“I’m thinkin’ you make it like an A-frame. It’ll help for keepin’ your roof from gettin’ damaged ‘cause the snow’ll just fall off when it starts t’melt. So we’ll give ‘er a steep roof, an’ if we make it steep enough it can be your tower.” He muses, angling his head slightly before he starts to sketch out with his gloved hand. It’s a rectangle for a base, the entrance in the center of the building and each side harboring a large space for storage. The left side he designates for dry goods and supplies, the right side he designates for wood and hides.
And the center boasts another few smaller sections of storage, alongside a staircase that leads up to the second floor. The second floor holds room enough for at least two beds and plenty of space where cots could go if they’re passing through on a hunt. “Mk, so, thinkin’ each wing has their own storage so it ain’t confusing. Put the second floor there ’n put your beds and stuff there. We can make the rooms separate but it’ll be kinda loft-like? An’ then from the center, there, we can give it a side staircase t’go up and to the top kind of attic area. Put a small window up there ’n it can be a look out.” Then he starts to draw in the frame of where the roof would go, encompassing all of it in a way that the snow would simply fall off the sides and into piles on the edges of the building rather than piling up on the roof itself.

Thorn suggests making it an A Frame so that the roof won’t hold all the snow and go bad too early from the weight of Halo winters and suggests the tip top point could be the lookout with a small window.
