Sitting back at last and leaning back on one hand, he wipes the other against the fabric of his pants, as if frost had been threatening to rime on his fingertips as they speak. And that's without considering Caly, or how Vesper feels about him for that matter. "If you wanna talk to him before decidin' anythin' between us, be my guest." But that's all he can offer, and he'd be a liar if he said he wasn't hoping for a conversation that crashes and burns.
