The shrine greets the Flood with a ripple of warmth through the cool Leafchange air, the chimes stirring though no wind blows. Then the weight of presence arrives—the scent of honeysuckle, the flush of arousal in the blood—and Frey appears as they always do, naked and unapologetic, their form molded seamlessly into everything Sunjata could most want in that instant.
They step forward with a pleased hum, eyes catching on the jar in his scarred hand before flicking over the shrine’s offerings, then back to him with the kind of grin that makes the world feel less heavy. "Gray eyes," they purr, tilting their head in approval. "Always good to see you."
At his explanation, Frey chuckles low, warm as a hearthfire. "Mmh, perhaps the Family’s gone," they concede with a languid shrug, "but it’s never wasted to prepare. Better to put in the work than be caught with your pants down." Their smile broadens into something wicked, and with a deliberate lowering of their gaze toward the Flood’s belt, they add, "Not that anyone would complain, darling." A wink, playful as sin, follows, their shoulders rolling in an elegant shrug as if to say the sentiment applies to battle and bedroom alike.
"Still," they murmur, drifting closer, their hand reaching to brush along the curve of his jaw with indulgent fondness. "You’ve done well. The land will remember it, even if the danger has passed. And so will I."
