Nova
Here's to alcohol,
Nova may have insisted on making a lantern this time around, although it's not for sentimental reasons or lingering regrets, but pure, unbridled curiosity. She carries it in her arms like a precious bomb that she plans to detonate in the middle of the party - except for the skipping. That part isn't very careful, but it makes her opalescent dress shimmer when it flutters and that's all that really matters.
"Do you think there's really a chance we'll get to meet her?" There's a brightness to her eyes that suggests she will be extremely disappointed if they don't, but she asks Vesper and Calypso the question anyways, giving a small spin that lets them peek at the star-studded lantern cradled in her billowing sleeves. There are tiny specks of diamonds somehow sewn into the fabric where the stars have been cut, shifting to catch the light from within as if begging to summon the star child into their presence. Glitter also trails behind them like a starlit path for her to follow if she might have gotten lost along the way.
She's too selfish to care if other people might benefit more from seeing their dead loved ones, wondering if this might be one of her only chances to meet the woman who had preceded the triplets, the sister she's never met. Whether Seren would have wanted a relationship with them or not, Nova wants to see what she's like, to put a face to the name and make sure the dead demigod knows how great her siblings are.
Until then, she leads them through the party, searching high and low for the perfect spot for the lantern.
Nova brings a sparkling starlit lantern forSeren!
