Ah, so he’d noticed her dodge – and she laughed, for it’d been a purposeful art. Smiling at him over her bowl before taking a few sips of the soup, she hummed under her breath, content with the comforting food and the ridiculous conversation. “I do need someone to keep up with me though,” she winked. “However, I doubt I’d abandon you to your plight of the desks.”
Leaning back against her counter, she tapped the spoon against her chin, before aiming to continue, not expecting his rebuttal. For that she gasped, and though the temptation whack him with the utensil flared, she didn’t embark upon any such cruelties, the easygoing blush flushing to her cheeks. “As long as you’re still kind and caring, and you don’t let the power go to your head,” and again, she wrinkled her nose, figuring such notions would never occur. “Then I would still pick you.” Ask him to dinner on initial whims. Then, try and fulfill a life with him.
