Between playing with Erebos and talks of pleasantries, Zavien waited patiently for the right moment. The festival still milled around them, but a small lull opened in the conversation, a pause that gave opportunity for the announcement he'd had in mind. He took a breath to rally himself, pulling his attention away from the toddler's antics to look at Deimos. There wasn't any hesitancy or quiet secrecy in his voice, but a calm casualness. "I wanted to let you know before word got around..."
His eyes lifted to the people around them as if the news had somehow already spread despite the recent decision and lack of a formal announcement. Nothing indicated otherwise as he continued on, tilting his head. "With Dahlia gone and the city cleansed, I'll be stepping in to lead Stormbreak, which means we might get more chances to work together." At least, that would be his hope if the Warden was amicable to the idea - and the bright smile on his face made it very clear that it was something Zavien would appreciate.
