It'd taken longer than she liked to get their affairs in order to make it work, but she'd meant it when she told Thorn they were going on a little trip to the Hollowed Grounds. At least they made it here before the chill set in too heavily, and the light dusting of snow here is only a hint of what they'll be getting back home, especially as the season deepens. For now though, she's content to watch the spill of frost from the grey skies outside. It's midday, though it's hard to notice for the storm and the wind that bends the trees outside.
She's found a nook by the window, kept warm with nearby fire and plush seating, the natural light, dimmed as it is, enough to let her read the page she has cracked open. Her legs are propped up on the lounging wall, close enough to knock at Thorn nearby. She glances up from her story about a dashing hero and does just that. "Find anything worth reading?" she asks, indicating that she clearly, had not yet found something to draw her in.
