The Ground had changed a whole fucking lot since the last time Thorn had stepped foot into it. And with Colt at his side and buried under a thick sweater with a backpack slung over his shoulder, he’s keen on taking in all the changes. The Inner Quarter is a new adjustment, where some portions of it appear the same, but even the Atheneum had changed a bit since the last time he’d been in.
He's already started to wear himself out from admiring the built in shelving, the molding that goes across it to give it a relatively opulent look etched into the oak. So he’s finally calmed down enough to snag a few books by the desk, propped up with coffee steaming from the cup at his side. He’s deeply invested in this random book, one that would probably bore the fuck out of Colt. So when she asks him if he found anything worth reading, Thorn’s gaze pops up from the edge of the book and reveals his amused smile in the creases of his eyes. “Yeah. You’d find it pretty borin’ though.” He drawls, hoisting the book up a little higher to show the spine that says The Book of Houses.
"Did you find anthin'?" He's going to assume not, based off her distraction in asking him the question.
