All of that had more or less changed with the arrival of a firecracker daughter of a demigod, or perhaps even before that, but the Doubletake's persistence had definitely opened him up to the general public more than in the previous decade. Still, he can only shrug about Sunjata - so long as the Flood doesn't get in his way when it comes to Safrin, and so long as he isn't actively waging a foolish war against her, things are fine for now.

Wrinkling his nose at the sight of the burns, Jack tears a length of bandages and creates a fistful of ice to wrap in them, offering the makeshift pack out to the demigod with a curt nod. "That it fuckin' is," he agrees with a scoff of laughter about the infamous brothel a mere walk away. "Master of the House has already started me a tab. An' very kind of him too."

He dresses the three wounds with an ease that suggests practice but with patience that suggests it's been a while, then glances back to Vesper. "You want a ride back?" he asks. "It'll take a few minutes to thaw her out, but I can make it happen."
