Vesper lifts the bottle in a small salute, the rum catching faint in the lamplight. "Been around a year, an’ already learned how rare privacy is." The words come with a knowing curl of his mouth, a wry glance toward Jack before he tips another swallow down.
The ice-wrapped cloth draws a grunt of thanks as he takes it, pressing it to his chest with a sharp hiss. His jaw feathers at the sting, though the wolfish grin that follows is unbothered. "Pretty sure all that kindness’ll will end up in Sunjata's favour in the long run," he drawls, voice edged with humour.
At the offer of a ride, he exhales, shoulders easing as though he’d been holding the question himself. "Ain’t in a rush," he admits, shaking his head, "but yeah. Be nice." The sigh that leaves him fogs the air, his tone steady as his blue eyes flick toward the frozen deck. "If only I'd learned how to teleport instead of whatever the fuck that was up there, huh?"
