Content to leave them as is (Sunjata prefers to fly with his own wings these days, thank you), the Flood figures that the crew is probably better suited to getting the sails and rigging under control than to have his own hand in it.
So he snags some of the metal mesh and gets to work along the deck, placing the mesh so that the coals don’t start to roll while they take off.
