The foxes were safe, relocated far enough from the worksite that they’d be free from harm. The moment of triumph lingered only briefly, because the next task awaited—and it was no small one. Theea was already moving toward the pile of wooden beams, her hands stretching toward the largest ones. Marcus stepped forward, muscles tensing as he grabbed the first beam. It was heavy, heavier than it looked, and almost immediately he realized he would have to take the majority of the weight.
