“If I do you will know I am quite ill.” The butcher teases softly, because he’s got enough of a sweet tooth and an expectation now that he knows he’ll always leave room enough for dessert, even if it means that Danta has to roll him out of the establishment. Today, though, it’ll only add to the food coma the butcher can already feel trying to steal him away and it’s only the hum of his lover’s voice that keeps him awake enough to chuckle softly as Danta picks up the quiet jingle in his pocket when he straightens up to take the dessert menu.
Perusing it briefly, the butcher’s gaze flits up to catch Danta’s stunning blues, brightened by the flicker of the warm bonfire outside their window. “Mm, are you sure you are not ill?” He teases, even as he leans forward again and twists the menu to face his lover, quietly listing off the options as if they’re both perusing which might sound the best (but it’s for the Maverick’s benefit as well). “I am very happy to share with you, darling. And out of the options, I am partial to the chocolate raspberry lava cake or the strawberry cheesecake.” He hums of a few of the desserts mentioned, but he leaves it open enough for Danta to offer his own choices into the mix.
