A nod is offered to Deimos as he arrives, a polite and quiet greeting, but it’s a lopsided grin aimed at Melita as they all pick their sleds. “Hey heuningby.” He hums, snagging his sled and prepping it so that the race can begin. Taking a moment to take in the surroundings and everyone else that’s arrived, he takes note of Maea and Zavien amongst the group and before he can say hello to everyone else he knows, the Flood is cut off by the sound of the race starting.
Luckily, he was already prepped and ready, though, and he zooms down the cold hill, jaw clenched against the cold. (It’s true, he does hate snow, but he at least knows how to utilize his surroundings for a quick getaway and he thinks that’s part of the reason he’s hot on Deimos’ trail in second place.)
Unsure whether or not he really could win with Deimos’ familiarity with snow, he decides to give himself the best shot he can. Using his water magic, the Flood aims to make a path in front of him, turning the snow to ice to give him hopefully a bit more speed to overtake the Warden.
Sunjata uses his water magic to make the snow beneath his sled to ice so he can go faster!
