She had the lead on him, and admittedly his swimming skills aren't as sharp as they once were. You don't exactly swim in a hot spring, you usually just soak, and there's no tide besides. All the beaches around here are cold year-round, and he'd avoided Torchline like it was a plague for years. Some of the more wild beaches scattered around he visited rarely, preferring not to rile up the memories that the shore liked to keep, at least not until now.
