Letting out a loud "WHOOOOHOOOO!!!!!!" of excitement, Nova takes off down the hill - at least that's what she hopes. In reality, the glitter must be catching the snow because there's no way she's this slow. When she'd expected to be leading the pack, she finds herself annoyingly stuck in the middle - EWWW.
The most frustrating part is when a flash of red hair flies in front of her. Her anger has long since faded, but seeing Melita still reminds her of that time they'd fought by the field of lightning. If she doesn't beat anyone else, she wants to beat her. So she calls forth her magic, attempting to solidify the snow into snags of ice that might rip the demigod from her sled.
Nova tries to sabotage Melita by using her water magic to freeze the snow and trip her!
