Melita had grown used to magic – the chaotic little intricacies now lined and laced within her veins. But this was new and wild in elemental prowess – more fine-tuned than the bedlam shapes pressing and pervading below the surface. It felt like liquid and ice, water devised into all its intricacies, and she grinned, devilish incarnate, before realizing that would look far more guilty.
So while she watched her uncle shape the powder upon individuals’ shoulders (some brushing it off, too enamored with their studying to notice) and desks, the incessant shrieking nearby was music to her ears. Many began looking at one another and trying to figure out the root cause, and all the while, they could watch, amused without giving too much away.
It was difficult for the Honeybee to not giggle and laugh though, as soon as she summoned the elements for her own devices. Rather than do anything casual, this was a ferocious, but little and mighty force – dropping miniscule icicles down the backs of necks and clothing, and bearing witness to the mayhem brewing and ensuing. “This is awesome,” she whispered in return.
