Fairness and power scales aside, Nova hasn't quite mastered the skill of perception when it comes to her magic, so she can only faintly tell that she's hitting something - whether that's Vesper or not is still to be determined. It doesn't stop her from continuing to volley glittering snowballs and snagging vines at him, only stopping when she catches a flash at the edge of her illusion - a very glittery shape that immediately has her giggling and the magic beginning to fall away.
Not even Vesper's vanishing form and praise that could use significant improvement are enough to keep the grin from her face as she spins to face him. Her finger rushes out, tossing more glitter in his face like a new waterboarding technique, the amusement making her threats no less real. "Say the words or the rest of your clothes are next!" And she doesn't just mean the ones on his body, her mind obviously scheming how to sneak into his drawers and access all the vulnerable items stowed away there.
