She hums as he talks about King’s End, the sound soft and agreeable under the steady slosh of water. "Gods, no kidding," she says, leaning closer to scrub at a stubborn patch that shivers darkly under her touch. "It's nice to be able to look at you again without it seeming like you have too many eyes and your face is melting."
