Mud is everywhere despite the vast attempts everyone’s made so far to try and clean it up. It clings and hangs in the crevices, smothering the rocks of the usually gold glinted road and caking it in nothing more than slick, wet rivets of puddles. It’s here Sunjata stands, squinting down the path to the businesses with mud coating their windows and doors, a few shop owners trying their best to clean up the paths to their buildings so they can stay open.
Hopefully they’d have a good turn out. And with a break in the rain that had occurred all night. The clouds hang heavy in the sky, blotting out the brief respite of the sun trying to warm everything to no avail. The Flood has come prepared, though, with a cart full of jugs of hot chocolate and hot tea to keep everyone warm in the interim of dealing with the mud – towels and tools to help clean up and buckets to fill with his magic to help wash away the remnants of the disaster that’s struck New Haven.
And then he waits for everyone to arrive as he surveys the area.
