Oakblade flashed in the gloom, plunging deep into the chest (if one could call it that) of the mudling. The creature shuddered, caving in around the blade, melting into a puddle below as the soldier yanked his blade free. His lip curled at the sight of mud coating Oakblade's steel; he'd have to clean it well later.

But for now, only one mudling had been defeated, and Liam turned his attention to the second. He moved quickly across the clearing to Memory Mudling 2, aiming a slashing blow across its body in the hopes he could cleave it in two and end this. But, just in case, as his sword descended towards the murk, he sidestepped out of the way of the others, leaving the mudling open for further attacks.

Liam runs towards Memory Mudling 2 and uses his Oakblade to attempt a slashing strike to the mudling's "chest." Then he tries to move out of the way of the others to give them a chance to attack without hitting him.
