Aumakua is quiet. Pale and gleaming beneath the full moon and a sky dotted with stars, it's hard to tell where the sea ends and the sky begins as Lyra climbs to the top of the lighthouse. She carries with her a beautiful stargazer lily wrought from gold and precious gems, its every petal and leaf perfect. She knows that plants are more Frey's domain, but the flower's name is stargazer, and there's something about the golden bloom that called to her as she searched for the perfect offering.
Lyra makes her way to the room on the third floor of the lighthouse. While the entire island is technically a shrine to Safrin and Vi, this room is her favorite. Lit by flickering candles and decorated with dark woods and burnished gold, it's always stood out to the Accepted. She places her golden flower upon the altar, turning it just so, and the candlelight dances across its gilded surface. She's never attempted to call upon the gods before, and she does her best to hide her nerves as she steps back, away from the offering.
"Lady Safrin?" she calls quietly into the room, her heart in her throat. "I wish to ask for your help. You see, I have this ring..." And she pulls off her golden healing ring, placing it near the flower on the altar. "... and I was hoping you would help me make it more powerful."
