But no, Asta has gone off to Torchline to relax (you know, Torchline? the place with the palm trees and the margaritas?) so it's just the Maverick and the mud and the steady, endless drone of rain as he approaches the House of Midnight.
It's already steaming off him with his irritation as he shoulders his way through the doors, not that it's done much to dry him off given the trek from the Skyport out here. His hair is sodden and dripping, as are his clothes, and as he approaches the front desk to find nobody present, you know he's slapping his hand on the bell until he gets some kind of a response or a reaction.
