"I'm going to marry you," he whispers back in response, trying to peer up at her from the edge of his vision where their heads are tucked. "To be clear," he bites in suddenly, boyish smile wild around the words. "That is not my proposal, but...it's gonna happen." He feels whole with her; she fills parts of him he didn't even know were cracking apart. Every moment, she makes better. He can't imagine anyone but her. Can't imagine the absence of her.
