Daydream that the world stands still
Dancing through the fibers of time
Dancing through the fibers of time
Callum strolls through Haulani with the ease of someone who knows these streets well - better, perhaps, even than most who live here. It's Flowerbirth in Torchline, and with the changing seasons has come an influx of tourists. And where the tourists go, so, too, does the crime. Most of it's petty - a pickpocket here, a cutpurse there - but every now and then, there's something big that goes down. And that is what keeps Callum roaming the streets, handing in his pockets, looking for all the world like he's just taking a walk. But really, he's watching, listening, waiting for something to happen. For someone to need his help.
Today has been quiet, and Cal has just wrapped up a jaunt around a market square when he sees a sight that one does not often see in these parts: a husky, born and bred for the frigid climes of Halo, and yet roaming these streets as though memorizing them. It stays alongside a man who looks perhaps vaguely familiar, but certainly not someone Callum knows well. The stranger seems calm enough, but as he raises a hand to look around, Cal gets the distinct impression that he's looking for something. Or maybe someone.
So Callum meanders over, offering a friendly smile. "Hey," he says, gaze flickering to the dog, in case it isn't friendly. "Looking for something?"

Maybe I just want to hold
Something that was never meant to be mine
