RANDOM EVENT
At first it is easy to mistake the movement for the aurora itself shifting, the slow ribboning of light thickening and deepening until shape emerges from colour, and then the truth resolves with a quiet, breath-stealing certainty as enormous forms glide into view, their vast bodies moving through the night like living constellations set free. The starwhales swim the auroras as if they were warm currents rather than light, solitary giants drawn toward the brightness with their poor, trusting eyes, their silhouettes vast and graceful against the dark, each slow sweep of a fluke shedding a fine trail of stardust that lingers behind them like chalk across a blackboard.
